Mechanical Engineering Internship

diamondLife® is a premier manufacturer of numerous patented products in storage & organization, and is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Engineer intern to join our team for the summer of 2020. We sell our branded products direct all over North America via our online store diamondlifegear.com. Our groundbreaking products have been featured on numerous movies, televisions shows, magazines, and newspapers. Our online store has been one of the fastest growing in its industry over the past 15 years.

About the Job

The position requires a highly creative and intelligent engineer who has a thorough understanding of forces and stresses and can design parts to manage those forces and stresses. Specific responsibilities include:

> Assisting in designing new products
> Improving designs of existing products
> Improving manufacturing processes
> Designing and implementing jigs & fixtures into manufacturing processes
> Manufacturing engineering
> Collaborate with our leadership team
> Pay: $20/hr
> Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm Mon-Fri
> Location: On-Site (234 Lott Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235)
> Start Date: Mid-May (flexible)
> End Date: Mid-August (flexible)

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have obtained or be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent program of study. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively on both a technical and personal level. Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for product design. Specific technical essentials include:

> Strong problem-solving skills
> Proficient in CAD and/or SolidWorks design software
> Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
> Able to work effectively in a dynamic environment
> Professional, self-starter

Must be located in the Pittsburgh, PA area for the summer of 2022
